Erm, LittleRoo, my mum was pregnant with me for 43 weeks and 4 days - the doctors did not induce her as I was in no distress and there were NO complications.
So YES it is quite easily possible to be pregnant for more than 42 weeks!! When my mum then had my sister she was 42 weeks 2 days - again, no complications.
I heard about the woman who had a baby in her for 40 odd years, it is true, but is obviousley an exceptional case!!!
:-)

The page about the doctor being pregnant for 17 months is a fake. I did a little research, found it hard to believe, and guess what, it's fake!

yeah, I think over 40 years (a successful one at that) to an asian mother. Of course the child was born with some difficulties but he was alive and seeing the world for the first time at 40 something.
why?
you going for the record?

The placenta starts dying after 42 weeks...it becomes extremely dangerous for the baby and mother after this point.
42 weeks is the maximum gestation period for humans.
