its easier to let others think for you than use your own brain. there are people that do think for themselves, but most people are too lazy or too busy to bother.

Humans have a natural instinct to follow the path of least resistance. That being said, if people can get an instant answer to a issue or a problem without the labor of doing it themselves, they are very likely to do so.
Is it a surprise that Q&A got so popular so fast?
And yes the media plays a very strong role in thinking for people and influencing them.
Hope all this helps. :)

In what respect Apu?
I feel that i am very much a free thinker, i dont ridicule others for what they beleive in, nor do i push my beliefs upon others, If i feel i dont know enough about a subject, i research, study then research again until i feel i know enough of the facts to make a reasonable comment, to me that very much makes me a free thinker.....how about you?

religion doesn't what you to think for yourself!
Look what the pope said: Individualism is BAD!!!
This is what Free-thinking people DO:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
