I have been with this guy for 2 years. He lives in another country. We have met twice. He came to my country and then I came to his. I am currently in his country now. Immigration rules have changed and I can not stay longer than 6 months. I can't be a citizen unless he marries me. He doesn't want to marry me. He acts like he cares about me alot. He does nice things for me. In the meantime he wants to see other women. I am so in love with him that I can't think of moving on. He knows this. He rarely if ever tells me he loves me. I have told him that I am going home to the USA and starting over after throwing my life away to be with him (gave up my house and car). I don't get it? Why would a man lead a woman on for 2 years? I keep wondering how I can ever trust another man again. I don't know how to get over it. He is the only one I've ever shared 'this' much with. He knows all of my secrets inside. He says he wishes me luck and hopes I do 'good'. I want him to keep me! Am I stupid?

you should not push things when you know that it cant be. for you yes, but for the man, it seems he is not keen on marrying you. so "moving on" is the best thing to do because that is what life is all about. if you choose to be weak, you will be defeated and you might blame yourself one day. learn to fight
the positive way you can. it is easier said that done but i assure you, you will be better without him. i was able to get thru...you also can.

Ok, what? You met twice and you want to marry him? That has got to the be the dumbest thing ever. So, what was this some sort of online thing? Lose weight, maybe try to look a little more feminine and meet a man in person, from your own country. Love is not just about 'soul mates' or some other sort of romantic cliche. It's about proximity and attraction.

You aren't stupid, you put your trust into someone who doesn't deserve it. While you were thinking this is leading to a lifelong committment, he was aparantly thinking it's nice to have some foreign girlfriend, cause he can still be dating local women, and you'd never be the wiser.
Truly, there is no point in continuing to pursue someone who doesn't return your feelings. I'm sorry. You need to return to the US and involve yourself with someone who you can see more than once a year.

hmmm, this is going to be hard for you but you're gonna have to move on. If he dosen't love you then he dosen't desreve you. You deserve better. It'll be hard for you to start over but you have to get up, dust yourself off and move on. It's hard but you're gonna be ok.
p.s. don't judge all men by this guy's standards, there are some really nice guys out there and i'm sure when your over this guy, you'll be able to move on and be happy
