Only if after filling out a HC1 you get a HC2 back. This isn't guaranteed mind! I would shop around different Opticians as the fee for the test can vary from £10 to £20 and some may do special offers for students.

You can get a form from your local doctors surgery which you send of to somewhere in newcastle and will return a certificate that covers the cost of an eyetest plus a contribution [about £40] towards cost of glasses. You won't be able to get a lot for this though.
Check out local opticians though, because quite a few give free eye tests if you buy glasses with them

I also have a kindle. Books are actually not inevitably extra low-priced. relies upon on the e book. Are you speaking textbooks? if so , the kindle will do you little stable. Many publishers dont placed their books into kindle formats - and whilst they do - the kindle doesnt take to photos nicely. in case you purely are speaking approximately literature - the kindle is great. No issues examining it.
