I have £5 worth of unleaded in a plastic jerrycan, held in a steel box in my car boot. Does it keep indefintely or do I have to swap it for a fresh supply every so often? The container is air-tight. Thanks!

I would say no more than a year, if that. You can add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel and it will stay fresh longer.

Put agricultural fuel preservative in it and it can last for over a year.
