I am trying to remember the title of a book I read a few years ago. It was about an obnoxious overweight American who worked as a hotdog vendor, and kept eating all the hotdogs. Obviously there was more to the story than that, it was really funny. I wanted to recommend it to a friend but can't remember the title.

John Kennedy Toole A confederacy of dunces
It's a great book, the main character is really strange, a obese man called Ignatius Reilly. He is narcissistic, hypocondriac and contemptuous. It's really funny.
Sorry for my english, I'm french and my english is bad.

Yes, it's A Confederacy of Dunces. I've got a copy of it but I haven't got around to reading it yet.

How sad, and ironic, is it that he committed suicide because he couldn't get it published and then it goes and wins the Pulitzer Prize.

I feel, it is very difficult, the book being a novel, it makes the search more difficult. Please keep waiting, some one will come to your rescue, who have read the same and remember.

Meanwhile, make a alphabetical list, according to author and title, check and cross check as and when you remember the names, at a particular moment you may get it. Any how it is stored in your inbox (brain). wait.
