Toshiba laptop hangs up?

i bought Toshiba Tecra Laptop this last February ,initially it had 512 MB RAM,and i started having problems that it used to hang up,while i m working normally,ie.not using any heavy softwares.the external fan starts making noise and the laptop hangs up.now i even upgraded to 1GB RAM but the problem persists.what should i do?

You should call Toshiba for help.
Bring it it to an authorized dealer for repair.
When a computer starts to make noise, there is a problem either with the fan or hard drive.
I think it might be the hard drive, backup all you important information.
My friend's laptop had the same problem at first and then a month later the hard drive crashed.
In the future, use American Express to purchase electronics.
AE will extend the warranty another year.
