Who causes the most pain with his humiliation tactics? Trump or Cowell?

Most of the people on the apprentice are at least in part, pragmatists. They know only one person can win, and even being on the show gives them exposure. Add that to the fact that everyone on Apprentice is at least reasonably competant to compete. Not so for Idol. People on that show are mostly dreamers, some with no real talent, except in their own hearts and minds, that they have any shot at all of winning. Simon does not spare them any pain. He does not ease the bubble down, or merely break it, he shatters it. He make good money for having little more than a talent for putting people down in harsher than nesecary means.

I'd say Cowell. Everyone knows Trump is just full of it, but Cowell usually says what about 99% of America is thinking... .

The people on the Apprentice actually have jobs and an education, while any moron can walk onto the set of American Idol,

So I'd have to say Cowell does an excellent job at waking them up to that reality.

i am guessing cowell. you are dealing with some, not all, younger, more impressionable individuals..........while most of the contestants on the apprentice are supposed to be trained professionals, and to not display their emotion. also, on american idol, cowell just says it the way it is, while trump uses the information gleaned from everyone else's opinion to make his judgments, and then the contestants have the opportunity (well, they try) to defend themselves. one last point to consider is that the contestants on american idol also have to deal with the fact that america has the opportunity to weigh in as well.
i am interested in hearing what others opinions are.....it's a great question!!!!
