I think they are so cool! I am looking for one that hasn't been painted and has all the original stuff that came with it, like the flour sifter etc. Any ideas folks?

I have one that is not in very good condition that I just store junk in. I am looking for a really nice one to incorporate into my kitchen.
Thanks, you all are giving me great suggestions.

I want to build one, they are cool, many antique houses run into them. Try them, also look for independent antique dealers they may be able to find you one. The sifters and bins are sometimes lost :( and they really make the cabinet.
Good luck finding one, they are a nice piece of useful art.

Funny that I should see this question, as I just learned what a Hoosier cabinet is a few days ago. A member of our family just passed away (he was 95) and he has one in his kitchen--still had FLOUR in it. My sister in law is going to take it. It is really neat. My suggestion is this...try estate sales. Often times when an elderly person passes away, the family will end up selling some really awesome antiques. You can also register with auctionzip.com--they will send you email notification of auctions and estate sales in your area. You get a heads up and can find some wonderful things! Good luck--hope you find one.

cleansing devoid of lubrication isn't sufficient. detect a care handbook and stick to the guidelines. there may be a dozen or greater lubrication factors. there may be some that want grease relatively than oil. If looking a handbook or handling real grease is merely too icky, take the device to a ideal maintenance/fix midsection. A recurring maintenance can now fee as much as a inexpensive device. I merely internet-surfed and located refurbrished Brother XL-2600 with upload-ons for <$a hundred inc. delivery at one significant broker.

I think they are really cool, but alas, I am not a collector. My husband hates antiques. He thinks that's just a fancy name for 'old stuff'. I sneak one in on him every now and again though. If you haven't already, look up 'antiques dealers' in your phone book and just GO. Don't be intimidated by them. In fact, if you start asking questions of the dealers you will find that they have a ton of knowledge that they are just dying to share. Good luck.

I have my Grandmothers and it is absolutely majestic, I found one last year at a garage sale that was painted about 10 times and we had it stripped and refinished and the very first person who came in the shop bought it, I had thought about keeping it for my daughter but we do come across them occasionally...part time antique dealer here.

Yes. I didn't know they were called Hoosier cabinets. I think of Indiana when I hear Hoosier.
