I believe you can be "crazy" and realize it. Some people know that their behavior is not accepted as the norm, and can be detrimental to their well-being. If not, then why would so many people volunteer to go to a mental health professional?

Crazy is a relative term. For example, most schizophrenics do not believe that they are ''crazy.'' They believe everyone else is. However, someone who is severely depressed or bipolar can easily say that the thoughts (suicidal, self-harm, etc.) are irrational. People with severe phobias can often tel you that they know the fear is irrational, but it doesn't matter. So, it depends on what you mean by crazy.
In general, most people who suffer from some sort of warped reality (psychosis, etc.) often believe they are right, and everyone else is wrong. But most of the "less severe" mental health issues are not that way.

For the people that are afflicted with mental illness it is a very real debilitating disease. That is what they know. Because it is. I know of no one with mental illness that brags about it. The people that do use the word crazy use it loosely and some even use it as an excuse for their actions. That is immaturity at best. Not a mental illness.

A person that is crazy thinks there not, (but they are) a person that thinks there crazy is not because sane people think. Crazy people don't. Crazy people just act with out thinking, a sane person thinks... So if you "Think" your crazy, your not because you Think.
I know , hard to explain. But that I have heard.

Yea, I would agree with that because crazy people don't know what's right from wrong so yes that is usually the case.

It depends on your definition of "crazy."
Someone whose mental problems need to be treated with pills would not necessarily realize that they have a serious problem.
However, if you're referring to anyone who seeks help from a mental health professional, then no. You can easily realize that you are a bit off and need to talk to someone to fix your emotional problems.
