I know its been months and it seem pretty dumb that ABC would put a great show on after so many months off, but was this a set up for it to fail?

Can't see why any network would ever sink the time and money into developing a show to fail. No such thing as "programmed for failure."

That said, Six Degrees wouldn't be the first time network suits panicked when a much-heralded show gets beat out in its timeslot early on (either by a more established show or by a surprise hit no one saw coming) and starts moving it around so much or shuffling the cast that people wonder if it's worth spending time on.

This is Six Degrees' last chance to get on the 2007-8 sked. It doesn't help that it's on one of the worst TV nights, but at least it's on. For now.

If it fails we can thank ABC and we can thank them for all their other hits that are going to fail. They are constantly putting shows on hiatus and showing reruns it is irritating as heck and a lot of people have already given up on their hit shows. Every week you get ready to watch it is another repeat even if you use all your power to find out if it is a new episode this week you never really know until you tune in. At this point I don't know if I should start watching Six Degrees again because it is one more program I will have to tune in every week and wonder if it will be on and if it is will it be a repeat. The programs have good story lines I have just lost trust in ABC to let me watch them.

I think the show had a good following and it was brought back due to that interest.
