Your boss sends you a email telling you something that just get you mad as allhell and then the rest of your day is ruined. I just got in and found out that my vacation time for this week has been cancelled because we are short staffed. And she sent it to me while she is sitting at home on Vacation.

Low blow. That used to happen to me all the time when I was working for GE. I had the plane tickets booked, hotel booked and was all packed when my vacation was canceled. I went anyway. Now I'm looking for a new job. It was worth it though.

My husband's boss one time cheated him out of vacation hours. My husband had asked to take his week off so he could get a vasectomy. Quite the vacation, I know.. I also have my tubes tied in the already unlikely event I should ever get pregnant again after the doctor in his own words "Butchered' my uterus during an emergency c-section. We've covered all bases. We do not want any more kids.

But when he took the hours, the first day as we were getting ready to go meet his doctor at the hospital the phone rang and it was an emergency and they needed him to come in. He goes in and winds up working the whole week. When he goes to use his vacation days again they tell him he can't because he used them that week- but he didn't use them that week- he worked.

Then stay on YA and do as little as possible for the rest of the week. Consider it a mini vacation that your boss is out. :)

LMAO! I hate that too, happened to me today actually. Got into work and the first thing that happened was that I didn't do something exactly right and now my boss is going to be pissy with me the rest of the day.

But....I finally figured out how to play her game because of it ;)

that's purely my reaction from my own adventure, blended with what I see finding in from the exterior of your predicament. So take what you like . . . . He seems to be in each and each place the map, and to be fantastic his needs till now yours at each and each probability. Making himself unavailable has had the (needed?) results of coming up him extra appealing to you. Is he unexpectedly obsessed with you as quickly as extra considering that: a) He realizes you're "the only," or b) you will have created the area this time, or c) the different woman dumped him, or d) he began feeling too very very nearly HER, so now he has to create distance, and extra drama? He does not seem to manage to maintain up a correspondence at once, so which you're left guessing—and continuously attempting extra. i could pass the overjoyed birthday. that's tough, besides the shown fact that ask your self what you would be able to desire to realistically anticipate from the interaction. Happiness? Or extra discomfort and frustration? he's been leaving you to take the full disadvantages and undergo the rejection. He may well be attempting to get you to re-chum and re-shop on with him, so as that he can sense "in take care of" returned. desirable now you're in manage of your self, and you do not would desire to resign the administration to everyone who does not seem to care approximately you. enable your self grieve the loss, and pass on. IMHO.

That is total crap! Their staffing problems shouldn't be yours. (Or, if they are short-staffed she should have to lose her time too). Time to find another job! Good luck.
