okay im 17, i've been having pains on my lower abdomen, on the left side and sometimes on the right, i also have a pain in my lower back that sometimes runs to the back of my thighs, i've been scared that im pregnant because im sexually active ( although i've only had sex once and it was with a condom 2 days before my period ended) after that my next cycle was late, short, and light...can this be pregnancy or an ovarian cyst? im afraid to go to the gyn because im nervous that i might be pregnant, do you think i can stop worrying about pregnancy and go with the cyst thing?

First off just because you used a condom and did it 2 days before your period ended does not rule out pregnancy(though you seem to comprehend that). You can get pregnant at any time of the month. Though both those things will make it less likely... it is still possible.

Pregnant or not you need to go to the gyno.. there is nothing to fear about it! It is easy and the best thing you can do for yourself!
If you are really worried about being pregnant get a home pregnancy test to let you know what you should be more concerned with... but you should still go to the gyno no matter what the results say. Pain is an indication of something being wrong.. though this is not always true(period cramps etc) but in your case it could be If it had brought about concern. Cyst is possible and needs to be checked out... that is not the only thing that can cause your symptoms though so you REALLY need to get to the Gyno!
Why so scared to go? They have seen just about every problem there is!(maybe not something rare but likely that they at least know about it!) Don't be scared... I would be more scared about what it could be (or what could happen if I did have something and it was left untreated) than going in to make sure that everything is OK or taken care of! No one on here can tell you conclusively that it is a cyst or pregnancy... so once again I will repeat.... GO TO THE GYNO!

I suspect it is: (a) A cyst (b) an STD(you'll be able to get each, although a lot, a lot much less most probably, even while you use a condom - it would now not had been used effectively, otherwise you might have got it for the duration of foreplay) (c) pressure (d) Urinary tract contamination that has progessed to the kidneys Don't be so afraid; being pregnant is not the tip of the sector, I received pregnant at 18 and I'm an overly, very glad mommy. Even if you do not wish the child, there are uncommon folks on this global that might take your child, no challenge, and a few would even "sponsor" your wellbeing care for the duration of your being pregnant so your child comes out healthful for them.

I don't think you have any reason to be worried about pregnancy. As long as you were protected and the condom didn't slip off or break, you are fine. You could have a cyst, but don't worry yourself about it. The best thing to do is to go see a gyno about it. Don't be scared. What they are going to look at is something they see many times a day. Don't worry!!! ♥♥♥♥

Any kind of pain that you don't know the cause, you should prolly go in. It's hard to say what it might be until a doctor can go in and look... light bleeding and pain could mean alot of different things... I recommend going in, because even if you are pregnant (not eal likely if you had sex with a condon 2 days after your period) you will need to get in and get prenatal care for yourself and your baby... best of luck!

Sounds to me like you might be pregnant. I had those same symptoms and I am now 20 weeks pregnant. As for the GYN exam it is made out to be far worse then it really is. Don't worry

go to the doctor and let them tell you what's going on. don't assume anything when it comes to your health and body. your only 17 so what face the fact that you could be pregnant. just be a woman about it. i know it may seem scary but was it scary when you were having sex? even if you were using condoms are you sure he didn't slip it off or put a hole in it? if your test come back positive then i guess you will have your answer... good luck sweetie!!!

You need not to worry about something that hasn't happen, but it could be something else. Sounds like like some kinds of muscle spasms. because if your pregnant you should have back and leg pains. But you shoudl see a doctor for sure.
