Get a similar piece of fabric to practice on before you work on the real dress.

You can also check with your local craft, or especially beading stores, for help, and to figure out what exactly you want.

Once you figure out what colors you want, eBay is probably your best source at the lowest prices. However, I've purchased TONS of beads from Artbeads and have never been disappointed.

I don't know if you should be concerned about finding the cheapest goods at this point. Anything you put on the skirt will have to be tested to make sure the finish won't rub off, and that the thread won't saw through. I would stick with a reliable source like Fire Mountain Gems.

A seamstress would sew the crystals on individually, tieing the thread behind each one so there will be no thread trails. If the crystals are too heavy, it will distort your outerskirt. If that's the case, the crystals can be sewn to the second layer and they will show through the organza. Crystals sewn to the heavier layer can be done with longer threads that travel from one crystal to the next, along the underside of the fabric. I always think that's romantic, because the trail of your beading is like the road of life.

You can also try fabric glue but you'd want to try it on a large fabric sample first. tie the sample around your hips like a sarong or belt, and wear it for a day to see if the glue will hold.

You can buy non branded sparkly glass from the haberdashery department which come with small metal clawed pieces, you push the claws through from the back of the fabric, pop the glass in and fold over the claws.
HOWEVER! Anything like this is going to be slightly heavy and will pull a light fabric down, it may pull it put of shape, it will affect the drape and may even ladder the fabric, like the other person said, try on a spare piece first (you may be able to buy similar fabric in the same haberdashery department!)

Go to HancockFabrics.com and they might have the bedazzler. Or you can buy the beads that look like crystals and use a hot glue gun to attach them. No you do not use a upholstery needle on organza you use the needle for light fabrics.

Hi I would go into a bridal shop and see if they can do it for you or ask them how you do it. You could of just purchased a dress with them on. You should be able to buy them online.
