If they player they choose does not perform well, they hire writers and create such hype that we are forced to believe that the player is simply 'out of form'. We all know that if some player is playing outrageously, we will praise the bower who got the batsman out, rather than blaming the batsman for playing poorly.

Also there is too much partisanship even in the commentary.I recall that when Dilip Vengsarkar used to play lofted drives, it used to be said that he has played an aerial shot and is lucky to be still there. The same shots of Gavaskar were hailed as wonderful, lofted drives.

Due to the Indian population, there is too much money in the game, and politicians, sponsors, and players all join the fray to burn holes in pockets of gullible people.
