please let me know your experience with selling...good and bad, did you/do you enjoy it, is it hard to get clients? is it a good/fair company, can you really make okay money? my situation is thati have to be home to care for my husband, he has cancer and i would like to bring a bit more money for us and our 3 year old....ideally an extra $650 a month, would it be possible( i am sure it would take a little while to work up to the amount), i live in a small town of 24,000 people, fortunately we have great benefits so the money would be to help with groceries, gas, car maintenance as we have to drive 2 hours for my husbands treatments 3 times a week....i thought that avon sounded like a great way to earn a small income while i have to be out of the workforce to care for my husband...thank you so much for your thoughts on this!!!!!

I have never sold Avon, but I did try selling Tupperware. Tupperware is just too expensive. People won't buy it, but Avon is not overpriced, so I think it might be easier. Here is my suggestion....target older ladies. They were young when Avon was one of the few options available. Go to beauty shops that service a lot of older ladies and leave your booklets. I recently saw and picked up an Avon book that had been placed in the dressing room at Curves--a lot of older ladies go there to exercise. I am one of the younger ones. That is my advise--get in good with a few silver haired ladies, and TAKE OFF!

Being that these engines rarely last over 150,000 miles go easy on the old girl. Ok the P016 code is... Generator Voltage Out of Range which means the computer is seeing an unusual voltage High or Low which could be causing the problem. Also what were all the codes? Were the timing belts put on properly? Even though the engine is electronically timed ignition wise the cams are mechanically timed one tooth off and things dont work right. I'd check the voltage at the back or the alternator if it is between 12-14 volts I'd get a mechanic to look at the data stream what the computer sees. Look for low voltages. Which would indicate a bad ground. Hope that helps...

I applaud what you are trying to do ! You sound like a very caring person.
I tried selling Avon products when I was arount 17 yrs old. (quite some time ago )
The problem with Avon products is, everybody will encourage you and buy for the 1st 2 to 3 times and then start making up excuses on why they don't need anymore.
The money I did make, I re-invested into buying more products. So, I really didn't make much money !
I hope it turns out better for you !
Good luck and God Bless !

I have known a few people who sold Avon and made a small income. I would start w/my circle of friends and work out from there. You could have Avon parties either in your home or others.
Sorry for the situation w/your husbands illness, good luck and Gods speed.

Does Avon have samples that you can mail to family, friends, clients, customers, potential customers, etc? And, what is the discount to you? Also, are their territories to limit your growth? Samples would be a great way to run a business from your home and earn a little extra money. That's what I did when I first started Arbonne. I wanted to earn enough money to supplement my income so that I could quit working full time and spend more time with my family. I bought some samples (~$1.50 each) of our most popular lines, followed up, and learned that people loved the premium products. As a consultant, I made a 35% profit off of the sales. For example, I mailed out 30 samples for ~$56 including stamps and sold 10 kits my first month, plus a few odds and ends. I put in the orders online and the products were shipped directly to them which was very little work for me! I made a 35% profit which gave me ~$1,000 and that was just from the samples. With Arbonne you can also make a percentage off of people that decide to sign up with you to purchase the products wholesale. When they do so, they get a username and pin number to purchase products themselves and the products are shipped directly to their door. There's no work involved for you other then registering them online. Arbonne has over 400 consumable products which means there is something for everyone and people will continue to reorder and reorder. This will give you a nice residual check with not a lot of work. There are no monthly fees and no monthly minimums unless you want to build the business and move up to management which will give you more and more of a percentage. Also, with Arbonne there are NO territories to limit your growth so you can mail out samples all over the US and Canada for now (we're moving to 14 countries in the next 5 years). This helps to reach more people and earn more of a profit. Arbonne is the #1 business is multi level marketing ranked by Citibank and the largest health and wellness company. They have proprietary products that are unlike any others on the market because they're formulated in Switzerland. Arbonne grew over 200% last years which means people are loving the products which is great news for you since you're wanted to earn a little extra cash each month. I hope this helps you. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.

I loved selling avon but they kept getting my orders wrong and the shipments were late so my customers got mad. I quit for this reason. It is a very good product and will sell itself. Perhaps you will have better luck than I did. I did not make a lot of money but it paid for what I ordered from avon. That is why I started selling cause I was such a big customer.

My Mary Kay director sold Avon for years and did not have much success not to say some people don't but from what she told me you work real hard and don't get a lot of return. She started Mary Kay and was able to replace her full time income and drives a free car. I have been doing it part time for over two years and love it. It allows me to be home with my children. If you would like to know more about Mary Kay email me. Best to you!

Not sure about avon, but I'm a consultant for Purse Party and I make about $220 a weekend. I think with avon it's harder though b/c the make up doesn't cost that much so your sales are smaller.

Avon is an MLM and there are lots of them out there. Well known ones other than Avon are Amway, Herbalife etc. You'd make more money with them. The trick with Amway is to show families how they can do their shopping with Amway, pay less and get it delivered. E.g. coffee sugar etc. Herbalife is diet, health and beauty. For more on MLM and MLMs see my website at http://www.mlmbuff.com (site will be back up in a couple of hours - host repairs)
BTW I'm not in any of the above. All the best with whatever you do.

What ever you do.........DON'T give the customer the product until they give you the money! I used to sell AVON out in California, I got taken for everything & no one paid me, I quit a few days later....It was my fault too!
