I'm a 20 year old male and im pretty masculine, I mean im not really metro to say the least, and im pretty much a normal guy. but i really want to be tan and i have some friends who work at tanning salons and always tell me that tons of guys tan.

is there anyway to motivate me to go? cause im always worried what people will think when they see me go in or out

No way, I know guys that go many times but no more. Not that it is feminine but because the risk of cancer is not worth it. There are so many real good self tanning products out there I can't see why anyone would want to use a tanning bed. I use Fake Bake, it works excellent. No streaks and no orange color. If you need more proof, you ever see someone who is obsessed with tanning? They have skin that looks like leather and that would be ok if they were that old to have that type of skin but they are usually 10 years younger than they look.

You are not asking the right question If you want to go to a tanning salon go ahead and do it. A man's virility is not defined by whether he goes to a tanning salon or not. I would however advise you to think about it twice because fake tanning can cause as much damage as sun exposure. Is it worth it?

i know a lot of guys who tan!!! who cares what other people think about u going to a tanning bed anyways??? if that`s what u want, go for it!!! we shouldn`t be limited because of what other people consider "in" or "ok"!!! as the american society is made up almost entirely of conservative, narrow-minded people, at times u might have to go against those old-fashioned ways of thinking in order to do the things u want, but as long as u are not hurting other people, why not??? tanning beds are for men & women, kinda like the unisex bathrooms!!!

My friend owned a tanning salon for a while and several men came in regularly. Married men, macho men, sexy men etc. :) So, there is nothing feminine about it! If you are confident with yourself, who cares what people think!! :) Enjoy your tanning!!!

How about this - a way to motivate you to NOT go - melanoma....look it up sometime. I've had it, but was lucky...many others aren't, and it's being diagnosed at younger and younger ages.

I think its femmie to go tanning as a guy. But if you're pale as a ghost you need it. But don't tell anyone you tan. I don't think I would even date a guy that tanned. It's definetly femmie.
