It's overly processed chicken along with other fillers. Then it's deep fried in high-fat oil, which is why that they are not very healthy but can also be tasty.

We live in Maine. My husband did a job for a local egg farm. After talking with the guy, he said they sell their old (and I mean OLD) laying hens to McDonald for chicken nuggets. Yuck. I think Wendys might be real chicken (better than old laying hens), but not sure. I try not to feed my kids chicken that isn't obviously just chicken. Hope this helps!

Kentucky Fried Chicken has some of the best. You seem to get more meat for the buck.
