Don't overrate yourself when you get a point. Tell your team that you couldn't have done it without them. Which is true. Help your team feel good about themselves. Tell them that when they get points. Great Job! Or whatever. Don't hog the game, let others play. Hope this helps you understand.

well i am very cocky when ever i play sports but i belive if your going to be cocky u better not mess things up. U just got to look at your team and ask your self are you really better then the other team and do you really think you will win. When i play sports i play like i am the best of the field or the court even at times i know there are better players then me but good luck in the chip.

Be positive instead of ripping others. Compliment folks honestly. If asked by reporters the classic is, "I'm just happy to be a part of this great team." I just want to elevate my game to help others, etc. During the game, offer encouragement to your teammates and don't worry about the opponents, if they trash talk, laugh and move on or don't acknowledge them (this can be tough to do).
You can be bold and confident without being cocky, although a lot of folks struggle with that.
Best of luck.

Eh, that's going to be tricky. Your *********, as you call it, is probably how you motivate yourself. Getting humble now may take off your edge.
As you get older, you also get better at winning with grace. For kids though, it's hard not to project a certain amount of arrogance

Just remember that anyone, however good, can fall flat on their face! (That is, make a big mistake, it only takes a split second. So don't be overly sure of yourself. Remember the saying "Pride comes before a fall".

Try taking your hand out of your pocket first. as a chineese proverb says, "One who keeps hand in pocket feels cocky all day"
