Depending on where you went besides Japan, try One Night in Bangkok, but if you just stayed in Japan, then look to some Japanese Classical Geisha style music- good for lots of scenery and then more modern music for city and people, Translations will be needed.

"Sukiyaki" Kyu Sakamoto had the version sang in Japanese and A Taste Of Honey sang it in English.

Also for some comic relief, there's "The Japanese Sandman" an old doo wop song by the Cellos.
