i think dropping him for andorra game is the right thing to do,the lad is just not perfoming, plus we can see if gerrard and hargreaves can play together and if that doesnt work and we cant beat andorra then we are well and truly rubbish.

Basically Lampard and Gerrard cant play in the same team and Gerrard is better than Lampard that's why... As for McClaren hes part of the old Sven brigade and after the debacle of Germany should never have been allowed near the England team.
He was a failure then and still is now !.. playing too defensively and negative with a fear not to lose rather than being bold enough to get the team go all out for a win.

McClaren should go, and the job should go to Steve Coppell. He would produce a decent side.
As for Lampard, he should make way for a wide player: Lennon on the left, Dyer on the right, Gerrard and Hargreaves in the middle. That midfield looks better, with two proper wide players, which provides a lot more threat than Gerrard being wasted on the right to accomodate Lampard, who seems not to care about playing for his country, which is a shame.

Look it's not just Lampard having watched the u21's on Saturday afternoon and then the (full) squad sat. night it appears to me that certain players consider themselves automatic choices for the starting 11 and therefore don't see the need to chase a lost ball or go in for a crunching tackle, whereas the u21's never gave up running because of the chance of stepping up. So what England needs is a manager who is not afraid to drop people like Lampard, Rooney, Terry, or anyone who is not pulling there weight and give the fringe players a game

Frankly speaking its not really about the players. There arent much new faces tough but they way they are ordered to play and rotation of players isnt just there. McClaren is new as a Manager and guess the changes he has made isnt right. Dropping Beckham is one of them. I'm not really those crazy fanx of Beckham but I truly feel he is a good teamplayer and gives one of the best free kicks. I hope McClaren will bring him back and change some positions also bring in those who are talented to play rather than just leaving them in the bench with him.

Firstly we can´t do worse by dropping Lampard. To be honest i think he cramps Gerrards style. That is one mistake McClaren keeps making, picking them at the same time, or to be more accurate, playing them at the same time.
As for who to replace McClaren with, now that is a poser. As most would prefer an English manager it narrows choices down a bit.

When "players" stop getting paid extortionate wages and get paid by results, maybe, just maybe, we'll see some decent football. The Manager can only pick what he thinks is the best team out of several hundred available players. Forget about the big egos and reputations and pick players who really play the game and score goals. If you want to watch a good game go to your nearest Village Team and see how they play withouit getting paid!

its not just lampard is it its the hole team that are over paid and over rated i can remember when the England players only came from the top clubs like man u ,Liverpool and the gunners not Chelsea, spurs and other clubs but then they all start to bring in overseas players who to are over rated and over paid and forget about academy players who are the future of the England team and we end up with the best of the worst and are national team in danger of becoming like Scotland's and the welsh so lets get behind the academy's save your club money and put some pride back into the English game

I think its more to do with McClaren trying to fit square pegs into round holes. I don't think it matters which players are being called to be dropped (though Lampard seriously needs to up his game at international level, I am doubting whether he really is good enough).
McClaren may have 11 very good players but surely he should play footballers in their correct position, rather than because of who they are. Please play the best English midfielder in the Prem (Gerrard) in his preferred central midfield role, we know Hargreaves is the best English holding midfielder so he should play alongside him, and then please please pick a right winger and a left winger not central midfielders out wide.

he should try something different, put lamps on the bench and bring him on after an hour if nothing happening, put gerrard in the middle, lennon on the right, defoe and rooney up front, with either barry or the middlesborough lad on the left. also play at premiership tempo. if this dont work put your head between your legs and kiss your **** goodbye.
