You've received a number of good suggestions to save you keyboard, but you can also by them for very low prices online. I've seem prices on Amazon.com that were below $20 USD plus shipping costs.

try a dry cloth, and tipping keyboard upside down.
BUT - in most computers - the keyboard is an external item thus harming the keyboard shouldnt ruin your computer. - if you have ruined the keyboard - you should be ok just buying a new one for the computer - hope that gives you piece of mind.

If liquid, a wash rag will soak it up and use the edges to clean between the keys. If gunky stuff, again a wash rag but spray a little something on it and gently rub, again using edges to get between the keys.
SOuld fix it right up.

GEORGE IN THE HOUSE!!! 'lol'
I would use a damp cloth then a clean paint brush to get in between the keys..you can buy a spray cleaner too...
type in keyboard cleaner in google there is loads of stuff on there.. eg. http://www.cleaner-systems.co.uk/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=32
Good Luck! : )

i unplug my keyboard and mist some rubbing alcohol on it, in a spray bottle, then scrub it with a brush (careful though, don't want the keys to fall off) then hold it upside down and dry it with a can of air... get it REALLY dry and make sure you don't get it very damp because you don't want to fry the circuit board

Turn it upside down and let it sit for a day. I have kids so this is common! Good luck and i learned its always good to have a spare because even the water proof ones aren't really water-proof!

I hope it is not dead already.
Turn it upside down and let it drip,
Then blow it with a hair dryer.Take out keys and try wiping to take away the spill.

turn it upside down so the stuff comes out. then leave it to dry. if you got a hair dryer to speed the process up, that helps. but don't expect to use it any time soon. But it should be alrite

Unplug the key board and blow dry it. The worse that can happen is you may need a new keyboard.

If it's sticky, I don't think you can save it. Hmmm...call a place that sells computers, they can probably help you. I ruined a keyboard with Coke once.
