I'm a straight girl/lady/woman. I am very picky when it comes to shoujo-ai/yuri or shounen-ai/yaoi. The story has to be really, really good. I hate it when the theme is always how the two would end up in bed together at the drop of a hat.

Well, shoujo-ai and yuri are lesbian themes, as they deal with the idea of romantacism between two female characters. While shoujo-ai is considered the more hardcore and sometimes graphic of the two, yuri is generally one that is more about relationships and a bit more toned down, although both are about lesbian themes in anime and manga.

I personally don't mind it too much, although I don't usually watch anime where it's the primary theme, but I don't mind it when it's secondary characters. Haruka and Michiru [Uranus and Neptune] from Sailormoon have been a yuri pair that I have liked.

I have seen shouji-ai series and manga. I like any good, solid love story, regardless of the sex of the characters. Unfortunately the challenge with any love story is to find a good one!
