There are a billion people in India and only 3.5 Million in New Zealand. 20 Million Each in Australia and Sri Lanka. These countries have consistently performed why ? -

1. Too many older players in the Indian team. You need to balance experience and youth -
2. Experience is not everything - Form is crucial - Why was pathan and Sehwag taken ? Look at Sri Lanka. Marvan Atapathu is in the squad but youngster chamara silva is played ahead of him.
3. Media has created too many stars - when they are not good enough. Shewag, Uttappa, pathan, agarkar
4. Ganguly is the most selfish player. Worried about his personal score only - throw him out
5. Is karthik the only additional batsman india has in the squad - this is sad if you can't come up with better talent than a wicket keeper who turned to a batsman co's nobody else was there
6. Dravid is not proactive - Yuvraj might be a better captain
7. Dhoni is a baseball player - against quality bowlers he's rubbish

1. Too many Older Player - Well I think all the other teams have their quota of the same. The Srilankan team won the match not only by Chamara Silva's knock but participation of Murali and Vaas was crucial
2. Pathan and Sehwag - Man u need 15 players atleast to make the squad. No i am not defending their selection, but tell me was their any sound allrounder available. Do remember Sehwag and Pathan were not picked solely on their battingand bowling respectiely - they do have all round abilities
3. Superstars is a valid point and it does get to a few younfg heads. Utthapa it seemed was trying to build a brand
4. Ganguly was the only consistant player in the team prior to the world cup and even in 2 of the theree matches played he was amongst the top scorers. How can u blame him for not pushing the run rate along if the team is losing wickets.
5. Defenitely Laxman was missed in the squad. I agree completely.
6. Yuvraj is himself in shaky form and injured
7. Dhoni is not supposed to tke the pressure of batting. Remember the times of Kiran more when ll the Wicketkeeper was supposed to do was to hold one end. He has made set his own standards too high and is failing to meet them.

As for the population bit - Do remember this is cricket where we are a major power - as to say. Why dont you ever think of Athletics, Swimming, football and rest where we mightnot figure in top 50 nations....It is not about numbers but infrastructure and physical abilities. Also the climate and genes are a factor

It’s all because of Greig Chappel. He is an Australian and Team Pontng only fears by INDIA. Remember India has breaks his team winning records several times; Consecutive test winning record or consecutive ODI’s.

Chappel has came India to make sure that India doesn’t comes in a way to Australia in winning World Cup. And He is succeeded in that.

I totally agree with you. India need someone talented and young, who is in good form and shape. We need someone like Sachin again. Too much hype is created around them even though they are not good enough. Not only Ganguly but all of them are selfish. They need to stop "throwing" games for money.

I do not 100% agree with you.

According to me every team member is responsible.

They were there in field and I didn't see them trying to win a match.

Everyone wants to win (even I want to win something ... may be next Wimbledon or Gold Madel in Olympics) but only want will not do ... need to try and work hard for it.
