I was in Yahoo Answers and all the sudden my screen went blank. I turned off computer (I think it's called a cold boot) and left it off for about 2 min and when I started back up it was fine.

That could be caused by several things. One is that your computer overheated, possibly from a buildup of dust. Another is defective software. If it says,
"Microsoft Windows", then it is defective, and needs upgraded to a good open source software, such as Kubunutu, at www.kubuntu.org.

Hi dvnlady,

If it doesn't repeat don't worry about it. Sometimes a computer will do that.

If it occurs again you need to start troubleshooting. It could be a temperature issue, a virus, a bug in a program etc.

See what happens the next day or so.
