I have been massaged mostly by women, but also one guy a couple times. In all but one case, the draping was 'optional'.
After you've done this a couple times, it becomes less erotic and just more relaxing. I seldom ever get aroused anymore whether I'm draped or not.
Although, it was somewhat embarrassing when I received a massage by a guy and I did get an erection even though I'm not gay. I'm not sure if he was gay or not, but he did not react one way or another by that, so I'm guessing it's not uncommon.

Absolutely. I never allow a drape when I'm being massaged...it's so totally artificial to the concept of massage. At various times I've been massaged by both men and women, and all massages have been totally legitimate for both of us.
I've even enjoyed traditional Esalen massages, where both the client and the therapist are completely naked. That also is a legitimate form of massage, based upon the philosophy of the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.
Massage is all about the comfort and sensuality of touch (not sexuality), and in my opinion the best way to enjoy a massage is to be completely naked and undraped.
We need to get away from the falsely modest idea that certain parts of our body need to be "hidden" in all instances.

I had a nude massage from a woman at a nudist resort. It was awesome.
She put a washcloth on my naughty bits but it didn't cover much.
I also went to a nudist event where the recipient and the masseuse were both nude, but the line was too long.

I am a student massage therapist and it is normal. The only body part exposed is the one being worked on, and you can always dress down to your comfort level. But its better if you're naked because of oils and creams, and it's just better access for a great massage.

I'm a qualified masseur and I have given lots of massages to people while they were nude (covering their bits, of course). It enables the masseur access to all of the muscles without hindrance. There is nothing sexual about it -- it has only been made so by certain sectors.

Yes, several times. I will always go without the drape if I have the opportunity. Sometimes I become erect, and sometimes I don't. My therapist told me that most men will get erect 4 or 5 times during the massage, then become flaccid. That is about the average for me. Sometimes not al all though.

Yes, this is quite normal in Europe; though in most states in the US, the masseur is required to keep your genital area and buttocks covered at all times.
Massage is not intended to be a sexual thing; it has developed that reputation in America because of the various anti-prostitution laws. It would be a lot better if they legalized prostitution so they wouldn't have to falsely advertise as 'massage services'.
