The in-fighting among the selectors, coach, and the captain is one of the dirtiest factors that is affecting the spirit of Team India. The media is also to be blamed that includes the sponsors - who have made the cricket as one of their earnings. The media - stop all these nonsense! Let the players concentrate on their traits rather than the glamourous world.. please leave them alone! Think of the country first than the money - my appeal to the media. Do not drag our best players into false glory on the ramps! Leave them please! The Indian Cricket Board - the Chairman! Please change the laws.. appoint a person who knows, what is cricket? Who knows what are the feelings of a crickters? Who knows how to recognize the hidden talents in our crickters? Who knows how to appreciate the talent? Above all, who knows how to "lead" the cricket board and not merely to follow! Selectors - shed all petty personal differences among yourselves- be one, think one, act one. Then Lo! Team India is on top!

Your question shows you are aware of the magnitude of the problem. But what about the solution? Who will bell the cat?It is not politics for the sake of politics. It is for the big money.
Nothing is wrong with the laws or rules of cricket. It is just the way they are implemented. We are simply dishonest. I will give you three examples in the field itself:
i) Kumble was 'made' to take 10 wickets in a match, when Srinath bowled wide enough to let Kumble have his 'goal' when he had taken 7 wickets. How do these records matter?
ii) Some years back, Aravinda De Silva, whom Pakistan regarded as the main threat then, was given 'out' by a third umpire. This incident was dubbed by the commentator, Michael Holding as 'a shame for the sport'. Boycott maintained that despite all the explanations given for his dismissal,'I am not convinced'.
iii) Muthiah Muralitharan was 'run out' when his fault was just that he had gone to congratulate the graceful batsman Kumar Sangakara (who I think will play some outstanding innings in this WC).
When the players indulge in such practices on the field, what do you expect off the field?
This game calls for a boycott from us for six months. Then you see!

I believe that the answer to your question is Yes. Politics need to be out of sports. Politics are already in every aspect of India like in jobs, business, movies. They need not be in sports too. I hope more good players join the team. Its time for someone new. But politics is not the only thing keeping them from being the best. The players are also responsible. They need to keep their selfish desires aside and ply for the country since so many fans in India and abroad adore the team.

Yes,unfortunately this is the truth.Even their voting system was not clear. To hold the power, they were playing dirty game. They have no enough knowledge or idea about the cricket, but know how to earn money from it.So we want another parallel team for India, whose have capability to fight for India. Our players have capability to play but.......some how they couldn't !!!!!

i think of New Zealand because of the fact of their very undesirable results of try cricket. these days England has defeated New Zealand very badly additionally their overall performance in comparison to good now. So, i think of New Zealand is the main below rated try cricket group in the worldwide or i think of South Africa is the top-rated try cricket group in the worldwide.

I think that politics is not responsible in dragging the team from acheiving its goal......It is only because of the overconfidence they get from the media.....
