he said that his brother, my best friends fiance (who doesn't want me to gou out with him), was jelous because he was now getting to know someone so much better looking then his very own fiance. how do you react to something like that?

Say, "Thanks for the kind words, but I'd rather not have you put someone down while doing so."

If he's sincere and classy, he'll learn not to do that. If not, time to look around for someone less conniving and abusive.

Sounds like his Brother needs to acquire some class,if thats possible...He must not love his fiance, as those we love are not comparable to others,let alone an excuse for jealousy..
I'd of just smiled,& let it go...at some point I'd find a way to let my best friend know that her fiance is a real jerk too..a subtle hint usually works..

Tell him to get lost. He's trying to start trouble and he's being really rude about your friend! I sure wouldn't consider it a compliment!
