As most peole said I would start looking sooner rather than later. Your best bet would be to look for another job on your days off of your current job. This way if you don't happen to find another one before you start to show then you will at least have some sort of income to support your child and money to live off of after the baby is born. It can be very difficult to find a job when your pregnant because employers look at you as a risk. As far as telling them your pregnant if you go for a new job, I was always told if they don't ask don't tell. I mean sure eventually they will find out, but if you get the job and they find out and you get fired that's discrimination as long as you can perform your job duties.

Stay in the job and earn some money which you will need if you are having a baby. Most of us have had to do work that we are not particularly happy in to pay bills and put food on the table and a lot of people are probably in that position right now. Once you have a baby you have to put them first in all aspects of life so this is good practice for the rest of your life.

Plus you have your hubby's insurance that's rather advantageous for you. in case you think of you may make it in case you do not look after yet another pastime....choose for it. you may likely convey jointly that holiday and ill bypass away time and take a wreck which you in all possibility deserve. If hubby's earnings is sufficient...i might evaluate it. good success!!

Since maternity care is not an issue, I would say leave. If you hate your job that much it will cause stress and potential problems with the pregnancy. It’s not worth it. You have no obligation to tell an employer about your pregnancy. Your best bet would be to act sooner rather than later in order to give yourself some time to build up a rapport with the company before you go on maternity leave.

will you be able to get any kind of short term disability? Maternity is covered under short term disability.
You do not have to tell the potential employer you are pregnant but when you do they may not like it too much (but who cares?)
If you really hate it I would at least look into a job and see whats out there for you
good luck

I would stay where you are for now, although you can't get maternity pay you can get maternity allowance and as you are still classed as working on maternity leave you should be able to claim working and child tax credit, from a financial point of view it makes sense to stick it out for now untill you go on maternity leave. I beleive maternity leave is 9 months now so that gives you plenty of time at home with baby and to make your mind up if you want to go back or not or find a new job. Your not obliged to return to you job after maternity leave but it may make financial sense to stay there untill your maternity leave is finished then hand in your notice so you don't back after.

Start looking for a new job ASAP. As you get further along it will be harder for you to try to hide it. If you do not find another job by your 12th week you would be better off staying at your current job. Unfortunately you are correct...and the woman below is wrong. FMLA is only given to women if they have been employed for 12 months AND there has to be a minimum of I believe 25 employees.

You will find it hard to find new work now you are pregnant.
You will have to do what you feel is right..
if you need the money and can stay there for a while then do but if you think its going to stress you out to much then its not right for you or the baby..
its a hard one but it has to be up to you

You don't have to tell a potential employer that you are pregnant, although it might cause some bad will when they find out.
Even if you are not entitled to stat maternity pay, you are still entitled to maternity allowance if you work for at least 6 months of your pregnancy.

It depends on how much you hate the job and how long you think you can stand it. Do not tell potential employers you're pregnant! No one will hire you.
