Breastmilk is always the best, most healthy option for you and your baby... congratulations on your little one and your choice to breastfeed! Your past health should not be a concern to you, but of course, ask your Dr. about it if you're worried. Have fun, and remember what a gift it is to your child that you are breastfeeding! :)

It all depends, you need to speek to your mum and grandparents and find out if the lung disease is hereditary or not.
if not then you have nothing to worry about.
Breast feading or not though if it is hereditary, it wont make a difference. Give bubbs the best start by feeding breast milk and if you are worried about anything then pop down to the docs for a quick checkup.

No, you cannot pass that on to your child through your breastmilk. Your genetic predisposition might have been passed on, but breastfeeding is your best defense. Breastfeeding protects your child from more than just colds and viruses -- it even protects them from lots of different adulthood cancers and conditions (like breast cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, you name it). Only certain blood-related diseases can be passed through breastmilk (like HIV). I put a couple of links at the bottom for your reference.

as far as i recall, the only things that can be passed to infants through breastmilk are stds & drugs/medications. if you're still on medication for the lung disease you'll want to check with the doctor or pharmacist. if you're not on any medication, i'd try not to worry too much

One sure way to alleviate your worry is to speak with your health care provider. Good luck

Breastfeeding is a good way to bond but when your breast are sore it hurts and then after the baby starts to grow teeth and bite it hurts.
