Is masturbation a sin or just something normal that everyone does?

EVERYONE does it and it is perfectly normal. Don't worry about what some people claim are sins or not. In today's world, if we followed the bible as law, we'd all be going to hell

Some believe the act of masturbation is a sin, and some believe to lust is a sin and chances are you are going to be lusting while masturbating so that is pretty much the facts about it being sin, but then as far as doing it, everyone who can do it does. Why not, you can't catch a disease from yourself, you won't dissappoint yourself, you know what you like, heck just do it, it's a great stress reliever!

If it is a sin, then someone is going to have to give me "chapter and verse" of where in the Bible (or Quran for that matter) it says so. I've been through the book several times--it ain't there. And if anyone tells you it is in the Genesis 38:9, they are wrong and taking it totally out of context. Onan, Judah's second son*, was practicing what we more politely call coitus interruptus--he got his jollies, then pulled it out before shooting his wad. That is definitely NOT masturbation.

Don't let anyone give you any grief over it, unless you seem to have to do it in public, then it becomes criminal if caught and prosecuted.


*The practice was to raise up a child on behalf of the deceased brother or son, he was to be the goel, the family redeemer, rescuing the family name. It was a benefit for the widow in that sons were the provider for her in her old age, retirement pensions not yet invented. So Onan was simply screwing his brother's wife, not producing children under big brother's name.

Everyone does it even if they admit it or not - in this day and age we cannott offord to say what is sinful or not because whether pulicly or privately we all commit sin so people in glass houses cannot through stones - in effect I am saying no it is not a sin.

This has become very natural nowadays because of the society rules of banning child marriages otherwise like in olden days people would get married by the time they achieve puberty and therefore they just enjoy the married life and ease up their urges and unfortunately today we have no other option except mastrubation.

Completely normal for both men and women, and if anyone tells you they don't do it, they are lying....they might hate themselves for it or be embarassed...but they are lying. There is not one person who has not tried it, or who has not enjoyed it. yes, even people who feel that it's a sin... and by thinking that way they only hurt themselves...because they hate themselves for it.

everyone do it , coz its easy to do ,
but i am not sure if 99 % of those people have will power to quit it , or admitting it as something as fooling ur own self

people say its healthy, i dont think so, in fact it has it own problems which arise later in life, but who cares about the future as long as people get to jerk now
