A few weeks later I experience same problems my phone kept cutting out. I sent it away and three, phoned me up saying they couldn’t find a problem with my phone. I explain that it is a battery fault as keeps cutting out. They said they would replace battery which never happened. They said it back after 8days. And I experience same problems and I need the phone for business calls sometimes. How can I get out of the contract as I having some much trouble with the phone ?

Put it in writing to them stating the date you wish the contract to terminate. They will push for you to stay, however you may wish to make reference in your communication to previous issues regarding malfunction and repair. Copy the letter to Local trading Standards at your local Council. Make sure you add "CC Local Trading Standards" in the subject line of your letter. That should get them moving.

The lady with the issue around the 25 calls in a minute should also contact Trading Standards at the Council. They will take on the case and battle the company for you

I had the same problem but with another phone company. Get their address and write a hand written letter to them explaining all of the problems that you have had and include that you have lost money due to no phone so no customers canget through to you. Also explain you have had nothing but trouble from day one and their customer services are terrible. Include that you have been to citizens advice and they have advised you to write this letter as you are well within your right to cancel the contract. Also tell them that you have made a copy of this letter. Explain you want your contract cancelling from whatever date and that you will stop direct debits coming from your bank to them etc!! Basically just tell them yourvery unhappy and you no longer need their services and if you do not get a response you will be taking it further. I did this and got a response straight away and they cancelled the contract!! good luck

Hello there! I just want to tell you that i have many problems with 3Mobile as well. Basically i was trying to pay my bill through the automated machine twice but i was declined. Hence i spoke with an operator and he asked for my bank account details in order to try and make the payment for me though he was declined too. Checking with my bank later on, i found out that the amount of the bill has been taken out of my account three times instead of once and left me only with nothing. The overall amount they took was approximately 300 pounds. I also have two bank statements showing that the transactions has been made to 3. I informed 3 of what happened though i didn't get any straight replay, they were keep saying that my money is being reserved and that no payment has been made due to a failure of meeting their policies. They said thought that my money will be back in my account within 24 hours which later become 48hours. So i am very interesting to learn how they going to return my money back into my account within 48 hour from the moment they didn't take it ? I spend more than 5 hours on the phone but no answers were given for my questions. The operators as well as the managers i spoke to, keeping say the same thing that is not there fault, i have to check with my bank, and that the money is reserved and will be send to me within 48hours. We were going round and round in circles over the phone and no help was provided. I then said to them that I had enough and that I want to stop my contract because this is not the first time I had this kind of problems with them. (bank charges due to they trying to take payments through Direct Debit before the date we had arrange, and problems with signal as well. ) Well of course they deny to stop my contract and also they said in order to do that I had to pay the 5 remaining months of my contract. My advice is if you have any kind of proof that this situation was happened with the faulty handset then you should take it to a solicitor and take with you the 3Mobile General Terms and Conditions. A solicitor will help you to find legal matters and if there is anything you can do further. I am planning to do that and I already spoke to the Citizens Advice Bureau, who said that by taking more money out of my account than they should do 3 Mobile breach their contract. I hope you can find a solution too.

It depends on how long the contract is. If its a twelve month one, you can cancel straight away. If its 18 you might have to pay the line rental till the end of the contract up front before its terminated.
Best thing to do is phone them and complain about all the problems you have had, if the person who answers the phone is a waste of space ask to speak to their manager and see if they are willing to terminate your contact free of charge. I terminated with 02 after 3 months into a contract just by complaining.

OMG we are experiencing serious problems with this company. My dad is 74 years old and has a contract with 3, we recently received phone bills that show clusters of calls made within seconds of each other. You can't call 25 times in less than 1 min and besides my dad has arthritis and has just undergone surgery for his hands.

The company won't talk to us and my dad keeps getting calls from 3's debt collection agency. So I would like to know any advice as well.

I can be reached on tricialaw35@hotmail.com

You needed to cancel within a month before the old contract expired - cos now based on experience cos it happened to me, you will be locked into another twelve month contract cos you didn't tell them in time and dear me there is nothing that they will be able to do to help u, it is just so unfortunate!!! And a big rip off!!!
