Hang in there! Looking for the first job's always frustrating, but trust me, keep up the search and you'll soon find it. Besides responding to job ads, I suggest you try sending your resumes to the various accounting firms via their HR department, or try calling their HR reps. (Try the Big Four -- Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers)
They may be able to find a place for you, so take the initiative to look for them. Or try employment agencies such as Kelly Services, or whatever's local for you, they may be searching for someone to fill an opening for a client, or they can help you with your search.
Good luck!
