Luckily I havn't been but make sure you have a good anti virus running and its up-to-date. Also never enter your debit or credit card details to a site you are not sure is legit.

There is some disparity with "online" fraud.

For example, someone got my debit card details and went on an online spending spree - so it was, in effect, online fraud - despite the fact (i am pretty sure) my debit card details were stolen from a shop! I was fully insured so i didnt lose a dime.

Otherwise, the most common online fraud is fishing emails, asking for peoples bank details. Thing is, these are so random and far fetched (with spelling mistakes), im surprised anyone even falls for it.

One time,my daughter filled out a survey for Walmart and somehow that survey signed us up for some kind of web accelerator that was 20.00 a month, called the phone company and the company who did it and it was cancelled, be careful with those surveys , I never thought Walmart would of been involved.
