I have to take the PLT (principles of learning & teaching) for teaching recertification in South Carolina for physical education. I'm currently teaching grades 9-12, but have taught primary in the past and may be back in the primary setting again next year. The state says I can take whichever version I'd like because I'm certified in grades K-12. I can take the one geared more towards younger children, middle age, or high school age. I was wondering if one test tends to be easier than the other. Also, which study guide do you suggest using for preparation. I've seen quite a few different ones out there. Thanks alot!

I haven't taken the one for middle or secondary, but the early/elementary one is fairly easy I guess... i passed it lol
if you're planning on going back to primary grades anyway than k-6 plt should do finely... i'm wondering why you need the plt if you are already certified, is that what the SC DOE told you to do?

Honestly, one is not any "easier" than the others. However, since you need to consider what is developmentally appropriate in the scenarios for many of the questions, you may want to stay with the age group you know the most about. Good luck!
