Passivity is inbred. Of all the types, at least half are partly passive. This means that passivity will be the first mechanical reaction in thought or deed the majority of the time. In other words there are various degrees. The whole idea is that different types have more active or less active endocrine glands secreting different amount of hormones which control the various reactions like flight-fight. These are tendencies at first which can fairly quickly become first a habit, then an addiction.

i feel the causes of passivity is lies and mis-truths. Innately we all know the what is the truth. So when we are lied to we are passive. Because acting on a lie is a waste of energy. I move for the motion of do nothing day... Because most "I" speak to feel their government lies or is in race with other governments for something we are not told about. What if instead of evolving through the industrial revolution we sit down and decide what we want for all time. (i.e. journey card, a card that tracks all movement of the holder, bus fares plane tickets bank details blar blar,. blar blar. :). And get on with making flying cars so i can vist someone i like.

It is just one of approx. ten personality defenses we all adopt. You may not have chosen it for yourself but may have to live or deal with someone who did. It simply means ignoring you, being quiet, acting as though whatever you are upset about is not important to them. We all have our defenses and they are necessary but how we grew up has a lot to do with which set of defenses we chose to protect ourselves. @8-)
