ppl bare with me.. i finished highschool as a french educated student finished my first degree and now starting with a 2nd major which is CS..
now the problem is i have to take these math courses...

i know tht the formula of a slope is y2-y1/x2-x1 though i cant seem to find out how to know the slope and coordinates of one point

I'm not sure I understand the question... but there is the point-slope form:

y - y1 =m (x - x1) ; where m = slope and x,y are the point.

So if you know one point and the slope, you can find the location on a graph. Just substitute and solve.
