If she has just started getting her period there might not be anything wrong. If she is really stressed out she might be restarting her period because of that. I would go see a Dr. I had about that same problem. I was regular then I started having my period twice a month. I went on birth control and it helped but I know that not all parents will let their daughter go on it because they fear their daughter will do something stupid.

Periods are different for every woman. Some girls start menstruation when they're 9 or 10; some in their late teens. The length of the cycle also varies. Some periods last longer than 28 days, some shorter. If you have just begun your menstruation, your body will need time to regulate itself to these changes. Your periods might be a bit erratic at first. You may have two cycles in one month and miss having one the next month. How long your period lasts also varies . Some girls have their periods for only 3 or 4 days, others as long as a week. The menstrual flow of blood can vary from woman to woman also.
In the other case, if she is approaching her menopause, then also there have some irregularities in the periods.
If she is not in both of the above groups, then she must consult a doctor as she needs a medical help

Depends how old she is. If she is in her first year or so of having periods, they can be very irregular.
If not, or if she is starting to feel weak, she should go see a doctor. Birth control pills can regulate the cycle if she continues to have problems. There is no good reason to live with so many periods.

It may be "break through bleeding" - which is bleeding that can occur between menstrual periods. She should see a doctor - the doctor can determine what's going on and whether it's anything to worry about.

When I started, I had 2 a month. She needs to get to the doctor. There are medicines to regulate her. Plus, she will become enemic if something isn't done.
