yes. it's correct. the long version would be "Chris did not have enough tools to repair the car."

a little advice, you should avoid using "didn't, don't, aren't, ain't" and other shortcuts if you're writing formal sentences, because although it's not wrong, it's not very good to see in formal sentence construction.

Definitely sounds good to me. I am an English major and the sentence makes perfect sense. Take care and I hope whoever this Chris person is acquires all the tools needed to repair the car. LOL

the ans should be:
Chris Did not have enough tools to repair his car

yes it's fine. As another answer says, if you were using this in a formal context, you would spell out 'did not'
