Apply for it at the DVLA and it should take around two weeks...

pls go to your nearest R T O ( trnasport authority office ). it takes about 4 to 6 hours to get the lic. carry two photos, proof of date of birth and residence proof with u. Medical clearence is also required. But is available in or outside r t o office itself doctors are uauslly sitting there and charge u a small fee and give u medial fitness (ALL THIS APPLIES IF U ARE IN INDIA ) if u are living in some other country pls ignore my answer

The DVLA will be able to supply you one in a couple of weeks. A friend of mine put in a covering letter though saying she needed it sooner than that and so they returned it within about a week or so

Get a D1 form from the post office. This will give you the form you need to fill in and the notes to go with it.
If you hold a uk passport, you can give them the number so they can check your id quicker.
The leaflet reckons you should get the new one in 15 working days.

Took less than a week for mine to come through.
Go to the PO, or the DVLA website and download the form.
You won't get one automatically.
