Ensure tht u've ethernet cards in all three machines ...else buy & install tht .

1.Buy a 4/8/12/16port switch (as per ur budget & future expansion)
2.Buy a CAT 5 cable as per ur roomlength(but the CAT5 cant go beyond 150 meters from ur Switch, mind tht while planning ur network)
3.Buy RJ45 jacks & crimp the cables -(straight crimp or one-one crimping)
4. now u can connect all there computers using CAT5 cable .
5.Assign ip address like 192.168.1.1,192.168.1.2,192.168.1.3 likewise .
6. thts all ur networked ...
7.connect ur Internet router/modem to the switch & configure ur internet router/modem ip as gateway to all these computers .....thts all internet is shared .

A computer network is multiple computers connected together using a telecommunication system for the purpose of communicating and sharing resources.

The three computers that are connected together using some form of communications medium constitute a network. Therefore, some works state that a network requires three connected computers. The computer network is "A network of data processing nodes that are interconnected for the purpose of data communication", the term "network" being defined in the same document as "An interconnection of three or more communicating entities". A computer connected to a non-computing device (e.g., networked to a printer via an Ethernet link) may also represent a computer network, although this article does not address this configuration.

You will need a router. It will attach to your cable or DSL modem. Then the three PCs will attach to the router either by cable (most have jacks for either 4 or 8 cables) or wireless (if ou buy the wireless router). If you decide to run any of the computer wireless, you will need a wireless card or adapter to put in the PC(s). Once attached, you will be able to share the Internet and network the three PCs.

you need to purchase a router, and 2 wireless adapters. If you need further assistance once you've purchased them, there is tech support to help you. You need to have the wired router attached to your main computer and wireless adapters to the other two.

you need to make sure you have the ethernet cable hooked up, the phone line, and power cord of course. Most routers come with a disk that help you install. You'll probably have one with the two wireless as well. You have to set the other two computers to be able to access the internet from the main computer.
