My colleagues are cool but the companies a nightmare and the management are antagonistic towards anyones career development. Thing is it took me 15 failed interviews just to get this position a year ago; I failed another interview recently for a place I really wanted to work and now my confidence in myself is rock bottom.

Anyone have any advice?

here is a website about improving your interviews...re evaluate what you wear, what you say, what expressions you make, and everything. dont feel bad about yourself, you cant be as horrible as you think you are because how did you get the job you have? just keep trying and you will get better :)

You should update your profile... How old? Any College? What field? Any Experience? All of these items are important factors since each field has its needs and wants. Also, maybe in person you to not project confidence, a bunch of failed interviews will do that to you.
Without more information I would say, stick at your current job at very least till you have a new one. However, like marriage sometimes work is something that you do not do good if you think you can just get a new one or walk away. If you think you have to stay for a certain amount of time at least maybe you will be better there, or it will be better for you. Commit yourself to staying there at least 1 year. Showing a track record of working at least a year is an important item on a resume.

I know I would never hire anyone for even a semi important position without at least a couple years of some kind of experience under their belt. Also, to bolster your resume and to stay work oriented in your spare time you should start a side business as long as you do not let it compete with your current job. email me and I can give you some hints on how to do this.

In today's society, having to go to dozens of interviews is to get a job is not abnormal.

The fact that you hate your job and feel stifled in it is unfortunately about normal. The link below states that 40-50% of workers would change jobs IF they had the opportunity.

The problem is, there is not much opportunity in today's world.

Have you considered starting your own company doing what ever it is you like to do?

Never give up.. I applied for over 200 jobs and had 10 interviews that failed. Keep pressing on and someone will eventually acknowledge your drive

You could try asking the last interviewer if he/she had any advice for you. Have someone critique a mock interview.

While no one likes rejection, the more "no"s you get, the closer you are to a "yes".

Sometimes you have no control over the decision (e.g. maybe the interviewer was in a bad mood that day, maybe they already knew who they were going to hire, but they had to go through formalities.)

Post your resume on monster or something similar.
Do something you really "want" to do.

I believe being happy in your job is important because it takes up such a chunk of time - and is your means to survive.

So if you aren't 100% happy, do something that makes you so.

You need to find out why you are failing your interviews.
Not enough experience? Your selection of clothes.
Did you send a thank you letter?

Find a head hunter. They may hep advise you.
