I'm getting into that kind of music now and I'm wondering what choirs or musicians I should look up.
Anything super mellow or apocalyptic is good.

Mozart- Requiem (all movements are fantastic, otherwise the last movement "Lacrymosa" you will find breath-taking.) Mozart wrote it while he was dying, he sputtered out the notes and his student/apprentice copied it down for him. He was said to have dreams of his own death, and ironically wrote as mass for the dead (a requiem) supposedly by himself while he was dying. Mozart himself passed away before that particular song was finished so his student finished it for him. It's very powerful.

Beethoven's 5th Symphony- last movement (Ode to Joy)

Faure- Requiem - Agnus Dei (incredible)

Victoria- O Magnum Mysterium (also incredible)

Orff- Carmina Burana

Handel- Coronation Mass, Messiah (famous Halleujah chorus)

Haydn- Creation

Bach- Sacred Choral Works (melodies often heard still today in churches)

Libera comes to mind... check 'em out?

In a related genre - check out Rockapella. Not really choir music, but a cappella.
