The less industrial foods are best, ideally one should limit the ready-made stuff, and provide choices that are more natural: fresh veggies and fruits (5 a day), hamburger, chicken, fish for proteins - simple cooking is easy and best...

Keep salt on the low, spices are usually too strong for kids but fresh herbs such as basil or parsley are great, and of course portions should be much smaller than for adults.

2 year olds weigh around 13kg, some are more or less, mine is 3 and weighs 16kg
