I have installed MPT and it detected my phone fine, but I'm missing the multimedia button. Anyone ever heard of this before? The program works fine with my girlfriend's RAZR V3m but not with my SLVR L7c.

You may need a more updated driver for the L7c. This was just released, wasnt it? This is the CDMA version of the SLVR correct?
Try to get MPT to update itself some more. There may or may not be a proper driver available to the public for this phone yet.

the onl one way easy solution is to connect it via bluetoot
and transfer the files
it is very easy ans the blue thoot adapter is also cheap
