Irrelevant. It has been left on the dustbin of history. It is at best used as a tempering force from a completely free market but as an economic system? Proven ridiculous.

Irrelevant? Is it really so in the age of global warming, huh?
When millions of people will be dying of starvation and drought (remember what happened last summer in Europe, my friend), I guess capitalism who is the cause of all this will be our saviour.
Oh, the capitalists will be protecting themselves in their private islands, so possible wars for water and resources will not bother them, right?
Let`s discuss your question in 20 years and I seriously hope time proves me wrong!
