I compare her to every other girl I meet since her. Am I still in love wit her or is this just normal?

for the dreams part: a dream analyzer who is a friend of mine once told me that the people who appear in your dreams aren't those people. they're different aspects of yourself, symbolized. so when you see your first love in your dream, she may be symbolizing something about yourself. perhaps innocence, the joy of falling in love for the first time, your youth, your past hopes, etc?
as for comparing her, six years IS a long time to be with someone. AND she was your first love. i think it'd be normal, but just don't let it completely rule your life. if you're open to it, i'm sure a girl will come into your life, and make you feel like you've fallen in love for the first time, all over again.

MY MAN...WOW! I know exactly what you mean. For the longest time, I thought I was the only guy that experienced this.
Just like you, after being together for a long time, my first true love and I parted ways a long time ago...14 years ago to be exact. More importantly, just like you, I still have dreams involving her.
Are you still in love with her? Everyone is different, but I know that I will love my first true love till the day that I die. However, that doesn't mean that I long to have her back or that I am not over her. It's not like that at all. I just have a great appreciation for our relationship; her as a person; what she taught me; the role that she played in my life; etc.
Is this normal? I sure think so!

It is totaly normal. In that length of time, you learned a lot about each other, loved each other, shared good and bad times,etc. Just don't let it be an obsession to the point you aren't getting on with your life. The first love is something we can't ever forget. Store it as a memory and get out and enjoy life.
