Do you think that I have a toxic philosophy about cooking when I keep telling to myself that I can always write an article about it, so I don't need to learn the actual thing? Also, I'm somehow convinced that people tend to compensate their ignorance with other stuff they know...
Does anyone here agree with me, or should I start collecting recipes?

Marry an Italian. Then he (or she) will cook for you. :)

Seriously though, when I do cook about once a year, I get the recipe off the back of a Campbell's soup can. For me, cooking is overrated. I prefer to be served.

You can always take Culinary Arts 101. They start out simple. Or maybe get Tyler Durden from Food 911 on Food Network, show you how to Boil Water. Hell I have a really simple recipe that is super tough to Mess up. Just E-Mail me. I will give it too you. But You have to tell me how you did and what you thought. It is a real Simple Recipe.

start with some recipes, try it dear you can always quit, as the great Cajun cook Justin Wilson said "cooking is 90% imagination" and you have a good one, you may find you get some quality thinking done in the kitchen, cooking has gotten a bad rap as mundane, it's only that if you let it :) ♥

I think you have a fear of cooking for some reason. Just start out simple, follow the directions precisely and cooking will become fun! Really....stop shaking your head.

If you want to actually try the stuff and also write about it about how it tastes and how it is made then you should try collecting recipes. Do it for fun.

How can you be a well-rounded person if you lack cooking 101? You are missing just one ingredient in life....eating something made with your two hands...try it just once!
