intel core2 duo T2500 or AMD turion 64x2 TL52

T2500 appears to be Core Duo at 2.0 GHz (2 Pentium M CPUs), not the new Core 2 Duo. Tl52 runs at 1.6 GHz.

stick with AMD if you are not hardcore gamer. Not many programs (except videos and games) will require that much more processing power in the near future. Go AMD, it's cheap and it will last you for atleast the next 4-5 years no problem.
