I used to have the same problem, until the doc put me on a psychological med that made me gain weight and lower my metabolism. But, I know where you're comin' from. What you first have to realize is that you are different then MOST OTHERS! Most people are trying to lose weight, and gain muscle, therefore the advice that you receive from most will not apply to you. Second, you can't concentrate on gaining weight and toning your muscles "at the same time". First, you want to concentrate on the weight gain. It sounds simple, but you do this by eating more than you could possibly imagine. STUFF YOURSELF WITH "WHATEVER"!!! Also, do HEAVY weight-lifting, where you can only perform 2-3 sets of 4-6 reps each, and AVOID aerobic exercise. You can buy supplements. The most important one that I am most familiar with is Whey Protein. Don't settle for less! Go for "Whey". Mix it with milk or water (It's better with milk)...within 20 min. after your workout (note: your workout shouldn't last any longer than an hour and 15 min.) You can also eat things such as power and protein bars. You want to concentrate on ALOT of protein!

When, you have reached your weight goal, you will have some extra body fat that you want to get rid of. This is when you go on a different diet and start a new exercise routine. Worry about that, when it comes. GOOD LUCK!!!

You do not need special supplements. Eat real and healthy food. Just eat more of it and keep working out to build muscle.

Look at the size of your parents, if they have small builds, you probably will also.

Try simple Protein drinks with your meals. That would give you and increase of the stuff to build muscles.
